This conversation features Kartemquin Film’s Director of Communication and Distribution Tim Horsburgh, who will teach you how to plan and execute an impact campaign;  Karen Johnson, award-winning producer of  documentaries who will share her thoughts on best practices for producing doc projects and understanding the grant landscape in the U.S.; Risé Sanders-Weir, an Arkansas native and the Director of Production at Kartemquin, who will answer questions about budgets, timelines, and fair use; and fellow filmmaker and attorney Paul Szynol, partner at Rogers & Szynol who will speak about intellectual property matters and other major legal issues facing documentary filmmakers.
