This piercing, observational film charts the trials of a transgender man’s path to parenthood. Freddy McConnell dreams of having a family, and after much deliberation decides to detransition in order to carry the child himself. Subjected to an array of hormone treatments and relationship roller-coasters, Freddy navigates complex medical circumstances, rejection from his peers, and debilitating self-doubt — all while pregnant.
